Newton Center's Box City Project
A project-based learning activity that explores building, engineering, literacy, math, and science in fun and engaging ways. Children, teachers, and families explored the process of planning and building their very own city using a range of hands-on learning experiences. Teachers incorporated Head Start Early Learning Outcomes into all aspects of the building process.
Using found items such as cardboard boxes and tubes as well as traditional arts and crafts materials participants planned, built, designed and installed a City made of Boxes!
