Week 6: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie

Please perform the following PRESCHOOL activities with your child

Activity 1: Have your child create your own mouse puppet using materials you have in your home. When you are done, walk around your house and use the mouse as a prop to tell your own story of “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”.

Activity 2: How do you bake a cookie? Make a list of all the ingredients you think you need to make a cookie.

Activity 3: How do you think the boy is feeling at the end of the story? Why do you think he feels this way?

Activity 4: Can you remember what things the mouse asked for around the boy’s house?
Actividad 4: ¿Puedes recordar qué cosas pidió el ratón alrededor de la casa del niño?
Activity 5: Help your child Illustrate/write their own version of the story using a different animal and food: “If You Give a _______ a ________” (for example, “If You Give a Penguin a Pizza”). Make sure they sign their name on their picture, just like the mouse does.
