A typical day...
Arrival, greeting, free choice
- Block area, Dramatic Play area, Library area,
Sand/Water table, Science area are learning centers located in the classroom
that are open to children and provide them with materials to engage in
solitary or small group play.
Breakfast
Reading
- Literacy is an important component to the
Creative Start curriculum. There are ample books throughout the classroom that
children can access. In addition, books are read in large group and small
group with opportunities for questions, conversations and discussions about
the books.
Washing Hand/Tooth Brushing
- The development of children’s self-help skills
helps build confidence and promotes healthy habits for life. Children are
encouraged to wash their hands before meals and after play. Tooth brushing is
done after meals.
Outdoor Play
- Is done daily, weather permitting, and can be
playing in the playground, taking neighborhood walks or visiting local
playgrounds.
Circle Time
- Allows children and teacher to discuss the
daily schedule, discuss relevant topics such as the weather or the ongoing
classroom theme.
Choice Time
- Teachers will provide children with a choice
between 2-3 activities that are related to the theme they are covering.
Lunch
Rest Time
- Not all children nap and rest time allows
those children who nap an opportunity to do so. For other children, it is an
opportunity to rest and do a quiet activity, such as looking at a book.

Directions to Woburn Creative Start
From 128/95 South
Take Exit 36 and take left at lights at
end of ramp. The Woburn Mall will be on your right hand side. Follow
New Boston Street pat the 99 Restaurant until you see Cellular One on the left
hand side. The next left will be Gill Street. Take left onto Gill
Street. We are located at the back right hand corner of Building 4 in Suite G.
From 128/95 South
Take Exit 35 (Route 38 North towards Wilmington).
Follow Route 38 North towards Wilmington. At first set of lights (Stop and
Shop on left), take Right onto Alfred Street. Follow Alfred Street until
it ends at a stop sign. Take right onto School Street at the top sign.
At first set of lights, take a left (you will see Friday's Restaurant on the
right hand side.) At the next set of lights take left on New Boston
Street. Follow New Boston Street until you as Cellular One on the left
hand side. The next left will be Gill Street. Take a left onto Gill
Street. We are located at the back right hand corner of Building 4 in
Suite G.

Take Exit 36 off of Route 128/95 North. This is the
Washington Street - Reading/Winchester Exit. At the end of the exit ramp
take a left onto Washington Street. Stay in left hand lane and take left
at next set of lights (will see Kohl's and Pier 1 on your right hand side.)
Stay straight on this road for about 2 miles (you will see the Woburn Mall on
your right hand side and the 99 Restaurant on your left hand side.)
Continue straight until you see Cellular One on the left hand side. The
next left will be Gill Street. Take a left onto Gill Street. We are
located at the back right hand corner of Building 4 in Suite G.
