There are many opportunities to help or be actively involved in the work of Communities United.

Volunteers

Parents, Students, and Friends are welcome to assist at our Centers. Sometimes there are also occasions to help with tasks and special projects in our Administrative Offices. Over the years, many high school students have earned community service credits and college students have done internships with us. ANNOUNCEMENT

We are pleased to announce that The Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation has awarded a grant to Communities United, Inc. to provide vision screening, equipment and supplies for the children enrolled in our Creative Start programs.Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation is committed to making life more bearable for children, families, and pets, who are in need of a helping paw.  With the sale of each Champ -- a Champion Fur Kids -- a special furry friend available in all Build-A-Bear Workshop stores, one dollar is donated to children health and wellness causes.  Funds are available to qualified non-profit groups in the United States and Canada through the foundation's grant process.Visit www.buildabear.com for more information.
